School Director's Welcoming Speech

I am pleased to welcome you to our web where you can find information about our School of Forestry Engineering.

Our site has been designed to show you the different academic program options. In the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid you can find graduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies as well as forestry-related degrees specific to this University. Clicking on the different pages you can find about our facilities – laboratories, arboretum, fish-farm, sports facilities – and our academic and research organizations.  Students may also find information concerning grants, scholarships and student associations.

It has been a long journey from the foundation of the School in 1848 to the present day. During these 162 years, our school has become an outstanding institution at international level,  training engineers and providing them with the knowledge and skills required to make them leaders in the forest sector. Our students have developed successful careers in public institutions, forest industry, consulting, education and research.
